Hi Everyone! Im Alanna Cherote, fellow mumma!

I guess you may say, I’m the heart and soul behind SNIP and GIGGLE.

I wanted to combine my creativity, and passion for working with children of all stages and diverse needs, into a mobile business, that makes life easier for families across the Central Coast.

I truly believe that every child deserves a joyful, stress free experience. They deserve to feel safe and seen in their inner world, and so do us parents.

With years of experience in working with children of all ages, I’ve seen first hand how challenging a simple haircut can be.

My background in music facilitation and music therapy, has shown me the deep impact of sensory play, rhythm, and sound. I decided to combine those elements into a haircut!

My work has shaped my ability to create a fun, warm and supportive environment, helping children feel at ease.

My amazing team bring the same level of care to every appointment, ensuring each little client feels understood!

I created this service to make life easier for our community, especially those who struggle to get out and about.

To us, it’s much more than just a haircut—it’s a memory to cherish, and a big step toward building their confidence.

At SNIP and GIGGLE, we know that haircuts can be overwhelming for some children—especially those with sensory sensitivities, neurodiversity, or special needs.

The sound of scissors, the feel of a cape, or the sensation of hair falling on their skin can trigger discomfort or anxiety.

That’s why we have reimagined the haircut experience—turning it into something gentle, fun, and validating. 

💜 We Create a Safe Space: Every child is unique, and so is their comfort level. We take the time to listen, observe, and adapt to each child's needs. 

💜 Trained in Sensory Friendly Techniques: From quiet clippers, scissors only cuts, and soft brushes, to allowing little ones to explore tools beforehand, we use thoughtful, techniques to help children feel safe and in control.

For some kids, movement helps. For others, storytelling, music, or a little sensory toy magic and giggles do the trick.
